Tho Ha and Phu Lang Handicrafts Craft Villages Day Trip
8:00 AM tour guide and car pick up from your accommodation and transfer to Tho Ha village. The village has three sides of a river like an island. To come in and leave the village, you have to take a boat. After get enter the village you will explore the village has 775 households with 3,500 people, of which more than 90% of households mainly live on side jobs. Before 1960, the village had a thriving pottery profession. But since 1990, Tho Ha has been famous for making spring rolls, rice noodles, and rice cakes. Over the years, Tho Ha still maintains its traditional culture with strong cultural identity.

Arriving at the village, you might be overwhelmed on seeing rice papers dried in every corners.
Since the early morning, villagers bring out thousands of rice-covered panels (phên) and stack them along the village streets and alleys. The rice paper are evenly dried on the grounds of the communal houses, pagodas, on the roofs and trees.

The whole village is covered with the aromatic scent of flour while local ladies are seen toasting crackers over fire in the streets.
According to the locals, the rice paper must be dried in the thin mist in the air so that it could obtain a high quality and delicious taste.
