Experience a 2-day, 3-night trekking adventure in Sapa, starting with a night bus or train from Hanoi. Explore remote ethnic villages like Sa Seng, Hang Da, and Giang Ta Chai, hike through terraced rice fields, and immerse yourself in the daily life of the Black Hmong and Giay people. Enjoy local hospitality with a homestay experience, then continue your trek through bamboo forests and scenic landscapes. Return to Hanoi after an unforgettable cultural journey.
At 21:00 – 21:30, our shuttle bus will pick you up from your hotel/hostel in the Hanoi Old Quarter. You’ll then be transferred to the bus station to catch a sleeper bus for a 5.5-hour journey to Sapa. Arrival at the Sapa Bus Station is around 03:30 – 04:00, and you can rest on the bus until 06:00 (note: no air-conditioning while the bus is parked).
OPTION 2: HANOI - NIGHT TRAIN
At 20:30, our staff will meet you at your hotel/hostel in the Hanoi Old Quarter and transfer you to the Hanoi Train Station. You'll board the night train to Lao Cai, which departs at 22:00 and arrives the next morning at 06:00. The train cabins are shared (4 berths) with air conditioning.
Day 1: SAPA – SA SENG – HANG DA – HAU THAO – GIANG TA CHAI (B/L/D)
At 06:00, upon arrival in Sapa, our driver and shuttle bus will pick you up from the bus/train station and take you to your hotel. After breakfast, you’ll be driven out of Sapa town to begin the trek. A 2-hour uphill walk will take you to Den Thang, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of Fansipan Peak and Muong Hoa Valley. Continue trekking to Hang Da Village, home of the Hmong people, at 1,800m above sea level. After a picnic lunch, explore the stunning terraced fields and local culture before trekking to Hau Thao Village. Finally, arrive at Giang Ta Chai village, where you’ll spend the night at a homestay with the Giay people. Dinner and overnight stay included.
Day 2: GIANG TA CHAI – TA VAN – LAO CHAI – Y LINH HO – NIGHT TRAIN TO HANOI (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the homestay, begin your trek by climbing a nearby mountain trail with a stunning waterfall. Continue through a bamboo forest to Ta Van village, home to the Giay people, where you’ll enjoy lunch by the Muong Hoa River. In the afternoon, trek through terraced rice fields to Lao Chai village of the Black Hmong people, followed by Y Linh Ho village. Return to Sapa by van, where you can shower and enjoy dinner before heading to the bus/train station for your overnight journey back to Hanoi.

Overnight on train: Shared soft sleeper cabin (4 berths) with air conditioning.
Overnight on bus: Arrive in Hanoi around 03:30 – 04:00. Early check-in may be necessary. Alternatively, opt for the day bus departing Sapa at 15:30 and arriving in Hanoi by 21:00 (this excludes dinner on the last day).

Take a small day pack for hiking and trekking. You can keep your big luggage at our hotel. After we finish the treking trip, we will be back the hotel for taking a shower and collect all your luggages to go to bus station.

What do I need to know?
From April to October, the climate is usually cool and fresh in the morning and evening, but hot in the middle day with sunshine. Rain season, sometimes foggy if it rains.
From October to March is the cold weather, December and January are most coldest months, appears snowy in the coldest days.
The itinerary can be changed due to weather conditions.
