Located about 70 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, the Cu Chi Tunnels form an extensive underground network used by Vietnamese resistance soldiers during the Vietnam War. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore preserved tunnel sections, see hidden trapdoors and underground living areas, and learn how the tunnel system functioned as a secret city beneath the ground. Hotel pickup at the center of District 1 (morning or afternoon departure depending on selected schedule). Meet your English-speaking guide and depart for Cu Chi Tunnels.
During the journey, the guide will introduce the historical background of the Vietnam War and explain the significance of the Cu Chi tunnel system.
Arrive at Cu Chi Tunnels after approximately 1.5 hours of travel.
Upon arrival, watch a short introductory documentary film about the tunnels and their historical importance.
Begin exploring the Cu Chi tunnel complex. Discover hidden trapdoors, underground bunkers, kitchens, storage rooms, field hospitals, and command centers that were used during the war.
You will have the opportunity to walk through selected sections of the tunnel system that have been widened for visitors. This experience allows you to imagine the difficult living conditions endured by resistance soldiers.
Visitors may also try firing an AK-47 or other historical weapons at the shooting range (optional activity, at personal expense).
After the exploration, regroup and depart for Ho Chi Minh City.
14:30: Arrive back in Ho Chi Minh City. Drop-off at your hotel in District 1 or at the designated meeting point.
End of tour.
