Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Trang Pagoda – My Tho Port

07:00 – 07:30: Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. After gathering all guests, the group departs for My Tho in Tien Giang Province, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Along the way, there will be a short rest stop for a bathroom break and relaxation.

09:30: Arrive at Vinh Trang Pagoda. This is one of the most famous and beautiful pagodas in the Mekong Delta, featuring a unique blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Khmer architectural styles. You will have time to walk around the temple grounds, admire the large Buddha statues, explore the peaceful gardens, and learn about the spiritual and cultural significance of the pagoda.

10:00: Continue to My Tho Port. Upon arrival, board a boat to begin your cruise along the Mekong River. Enjoy the fresh river breeze and observe daily activities along the riverbanks as you head toward Unicorn Island (Ky Lan Island).

Upon reaching Unicorn Island, visit a local orchard garden and a traditional bee farm. Here, you will enjoy freshly prepared honey tea and learn about local beekeeping practices. This is a great opportunity to understand how honey is harvested and processed in the Mekong Delta.

10:30 – 11:00: Continue to Ben Tre Province, well known as the “Land of Coconut.” Visit a traditional Coconut Candy Workshop to observe the step-by-step handmade process of producing coconut candy. You will have the chance to taste fresh coconut candy and try local coconut wine.

Next, visit a tropical fruit garden where you can enjoy a selection of seasonal fruits. While relaxing in the garden, you will listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music performed by local artists, offering an authentic cultural experience.

Afterward, take a peaceful rowboat ride along small natural canals shaded by water coconut trees. This slow and quiet journey allows you to fully experience the tranquil beauty of the Mekong Delta countryside.

11:30 – 12:00: Experience a ride on a motorized rickshaw (xe-lam) through rural village roads. This traditional vehicle will take you past local houses, coconut groves, and small farms, giving you a closer look at countryside life.

12:00 – 12:30: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant featuring regional Mekong Delta dishes prepared with fresh local ingredients.

14:00 – 14:30: Depart for Can Tho, the largest and most vibrant city in the Mekong Delta region. During the drive, you can relax and enjoy the scenic views of rice fields and rural landscapes.

17:00: Arrive in Can Tho. Check in at your 3-star hotel and take some time to rest.

Dinner is included and served either at the hotel or at a local restaurant.

In the evening, you will have free time to explore Can Tho’s nightlife. You may visit Ninh Kieu Wharf, walk along the riverside promenade, explore local markets, or simply enjoy the lively atmosphere of the city.

Cai Rang Floating Market – Rice Noodle Workshop

06:00: Early departure by boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market, the largest and most famous floating market in the Mekong Delta. At this early hour, the market is at its busiest. You will see numerous boats loaded with fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products trading directly on the river. This is an authentic and colorful scene that reflects the traditional river-based commerce of the region.

Continue to visit a traditional rice noodle workshop. Here, you will observe how local people produce rice noodles using time-honored techniques and learn about this important staple food in Southern Vietnam.

Return to the hotel after the boat trip.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

After breakfast, visit a local resident’s house to gain deeper insight into everyday life in the Mekong Delta. You will have the opportunity to interact with local people and understand their customs and living conditions.

Take a short walk in the village and experience crossing a traditional monkey bridge. This simple wooden bridge without handrails is a unique feature of rural Southern Vietnam and offers a fun cultural challenge.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, begin the journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. Sit back and relax during the drive.

17:30: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City. The tour concludes with drop-off at Ben Thanh Market or at the tour office.
