08:00 – Your English-speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi. You will depart the capital and begin your journey north to Ha Giang via Tuyen Quang. Along the way, enjoy changing landscapes that include vast tea plantations, rolling hills, winding rivers, and ethnic minority villages scattered across the countryside.
12:00 – Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Tuyen Quang, allowing you to relax and experience regional cuisine before continuing the journey.
13:00 – 17:00 – After lunch, continue driving through increasingly dramatic mountain scenery, passing remote villages and valleys that showcase the authentic rural life of Northern Vietnam.
17:00 – 17:30 – Arrival in Ha Giang town. After checking in at a traditional Tay ethnic house, take some time to rest or enjoy a short walk around the town if time permits.
18:30 – Dinner will be served at the homestay, followed by an overnight stay in the peaceful surroundings of a traditional Tay house.
07:00 – Breakfast will be served at the homestay.
08:00 – 08:30 – Visit the immigration office to complete permit formalities required for travel within the Dong Van Karst Plateau region.
08:30 – 12:00 – Depart Ha Giang and begin an unforgettable drive through the Dong Van Karst Plateau, characterized by towering limestone mountains, deep valleys, and spectacular mountain passes. Several photo stops will be made along the way to capture the stunning scenery.
12:00 – Lunch will be enjoyed in the charming mountain village of Tam Son (Quan Ba), surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.
13:30 – 15:00 – Continue to Sa Phin Valley to visit the H’mong King’s Palace (Vuong Chin Duc Palace). Built in the early 1900s, this impressive stone and wooden fortress reflects Qing Dynasty architecture and tells the story of a powerful local leader during the French colonial period.
15:00 – 18:00 – After the visit, continue driving toward Dong Van, passing through dramatic limestone formations and remote highland villages.
18:00 – Arrival in Dong Van town. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant, followed by an overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.
07:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 – Visit Dong Van Market if your stay falls on a Sunday. This colorful market attracts ethnic minorities from surrounding villages who come to trade agricultural products, livestock, textiles, and household goods.
09:30 – 10:30 – Continue to Pu Lo Fortress, built in 1890 and abandoned in 1945. From the fortress, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the rugged karst landscape of the region.
10:30 – 12:00 – Travel along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass, widely regarded as one of the most spectacular mountain roads in Vietnam. The route winds through a dramatic maze of limestone peaks, deep canyons, and stone forests before descending into Meo Vac Valley.
12:30 – Lunch will be served in Meo Vac town.
13:30 – 17:30 – In the afternoon, continue your journey through winding mountain roads, crossing rivers and remote valleys as you make your way toward Cao Bang Province.
18:00 – Arrival in Cao Bang. Dinner and overnight stay at a local hotel.
07:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 – 10:00 – Depart Cao Bang and travel to Ban Gioc Waterfall, located along the border between Vietnam and China.
10:00 – 12:00 – Spend time exploring Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of the largest and most beautiful waterfalls in Southeast Asia. Enjoy the stunning scenery, take photographs, and experience a bamboo raft ride that brings you remarkably close to the cascading waters.
12:00 – Lunch will be served at a nearby local restaurant.
13:30 – 15:00 – Visit Nguom Ngao Cave, an extraordinary limestone cave featuring vast chambers and impressive stalactite and stalagmite formations shaped over millions of years.
15:00 – 17:00 – Continue along a scenic and little-traveled mountain road toward Quang Uyen village, passing through picturesque rural landscapes.
18:30 – Dinner and overnight stay at a traditional Nung ethnic house, hosted by a welcoming local blacksmith family.
07:00 – Breakfast at the hotel.
08:00 – 11:00 – Depart Cao Bang for Ba Be Lake, enjoying views of rivers, mountains, and rural villages along the way.
12:00 – Lunch will be served in Cho Ra town.
13:00 – 16:00 – In the afternoon, board a boat to explore Ba Be Lake and cruise along the Nang River. Visit Puong Cave, admire steep limestone cliffs, and stop at notable sites such as Widow Island and Cam Village.
16:00 – 17:30 – Enjoy free time to relax or swim in the lake before continuing to your accommodation.
18:30 – BBQ dinner at Ba Be Jungle Houses, followed by an overnight stay in a peaceful natural setting.
07:30 – Breakfast at the homestay.
08:30 – 12:00 – Begin a guided jungle trek of approximately 5–7 kilometers through Ba Be National Park. Starting from Bo Lu Village, walk through lush forest trails while learning about local wildlife, plant species, and the unique ecosystem of the park. Visit the Tham Khit cave area, ranger observation huts, and continue to An Ma Temple, a sacred Tay temple dedicated to mountain gods, lake gods, and feudal generals.
12:00 – Lunch in the park.
13:00 – 18:30 – Depart Ba Be and return to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
