DAY 1: HANOI – HA GIANG – PHUONG DO VILLAGE (L, D)

After a long journey from Hanoi, you will arrive in Ha Giang. Relatively undiscovered, this “off-the-beaten-track” destination is unique for its well-preserved traditions and local culture. Lunch will be provided en route to Ha Giang. Upon your arrival, visit the Tay minority people at the Phuong Do Village which is dotted with stilt houses and surrounded by terraced paddy fields. You will have an opportunity to walk around the village to get a taste of very authentic rural daily life. Afterwards, observe the locals completing their daily work and making their way home. You back to homestay for dinner and the night in a traditional wooden stilt house.

DAY 2: HA GIANG – QUAN BA HEAVEN GATE – DONG VAN (B)

Today, it is the excellent opportunity to enjoy the rustic scenery of Ha Giang. The village of Dong Van is nestled in the heart of Dong Van Plateau Rocky. The original architecture of the houses is: floor paved with stones, mud wall and tiled roof double. Next to Quan Ba for photo shooting and then move to Quan Ba Heaven Gate to touch clouds and Quan Ba Twin Mountains as well. Especially, riding on a zig-zag track until reaching Vuong Family's Residence, 14 kms before Dong Van to visit to Palace of the H’mong’s king to learn more about the Indochina War and the life of the local people during the war time. When we continue for depart to Dong Van Town. Arrive Dong Van town, we will have some extra time to wonder the ancient streets lined with H'mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago.

DAY 3: DONG VAN – MA PI LENG PASS – MEO VAC – BA BE LAKE (B)

After your breakfast, we continue to reach the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, through a gigantic maze of lime peaks, "stone forests", and canyons unique in the world. You will see the beautiful Nho Que River run around mountains. Stop for take photo. We continue start walking downhill to the foot of the mountain where our private car is waiting for you for transfer to Ba Be lake located 145 km far away, nested in the middle of Ba Be National Park.

DAY 4: BA BE FULL DAY (B, D)

Breakfast will be served at 07.00 before setting off for your exciting day in Ba Be National Park. You will travel in our private boat on the Ba Be Lake first visiting the Puong Cave, famous for its thousands of bats. You will continue down the Nang river to see the Dau Dang Waterfall before having lunch at a nearby village restaurant on the banks of the river. Returning to Ba Be Lake you will visit the An Ma Temple and then trek a short distance through the forest to the Homestay. Dinner will be served at your homestay. Night of activities with your host will be set up after the dinner.

DAY 5: BA BE – CAO BANG (B, D)

After breakfast, you will set off to the province of Cao Bang, close to Vietnam’s northern border with China. Here you will be introduced to the Nung people in the village of Phuoc Sen, a small village famous for the production of farming tools. Like the Tays, the Nungs largely live by farming the terraced rice paddies that you will see all around as you journey to Ban Gioc Waterfall, the breathtakingly majestic falls that demarcate the border between Vietnam and China. There will be time enjoy the view and soak up sublime atmosphere of Vietnam’s most beautiful waterfall before making your way to the Nguom Ngao “Tiger Cave” known for its wonderful limestone formations. You will then make your way to Cao Bang town for an overnight stay in hotel

DAY 6: CAO BANG – HA NOI (B, L)

After a night in the hotel in Cao Bang, you will depart for your transfer south to Hanoi. It is a journey of approximately 185 miles (310 kilometers) through vertiginous rice paddies and remote villages. You will get the chance to stop at an ethnic village known for its rice production. This is the road less traveled in Vietnam, offering the chance to enjoy some peace and tranquility.

There will be a stop for lunch before returning to your hotel in the bustling city of Hanoi.
