The ancient village of Duong Lam was granted the 2013 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation on February 18. The village was honored for its efforts in restoring five ancient houses displaying Vietnamese vernacular wooden architecture. Bát Tràng village is famous for producing a unique style of ceramics called Bát Tràng Porcelain. Bát Tràng is well known throughout Vietnam for its beautiful ceramics.

9h30: Arrival, bike along tiny ancient alleys to visit Mong Phu temple in Mong Phu. Continue riding around the village to discover the daily life and farming,stop in ancient houses: the biggest ancient house was build 200 years ago.
10h30: Continue to Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung. Again biking to visit Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in 15 th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, among with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities.
12h00: Have Lunch in Ancient Local House Restaurant.
13h00: Driver to Bat Trang Ceramic Village. Everything about Bat Trang village is an extreme. Lots of places have old towns, yes, but Bat Trang village is ancient. It’s not just a place where pottery is made – the entire village makes pottery
